The Govt. polytechnic college was established in 1960 under the dept. of technical education, govt. of Kerala. It aims at providing high quality education and training to the needs of industrial and other segment of society. This institution offers 3 year diploma courses in six disciplines and many other short term courses of vocational and technical nature. The campus provides a calm and silence atmosphere suited for intense study and creative academic activities.
